Desolate and fractured. A grim adventure awaits the protagonist... and you.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to discover and read this news post. Within it, I shall preview to you my upcoming experimental graphic novel, Blot.

Keep in mind that some of the artwork shown is concept art and is subject to change.

You awake from a thick inky cocoon in a laboratory that looks to have seen better days. As the protagonist gets his bearings, he, as well as you, will soon learn that more of this world than this lab has been abandoned. What was once a humble civilization, became a decaying hellscape in utter ruin.

Blot is a tale of exploration, dread, and mystery. Everything you will see throughout the graphic novel will be entirely through the eyes of the protagonist, who is on a quest to find any other signs of life, no matter how far he has to travel. However, throughout the adventure, strange but dangerous wildlife will be present and in his path, wanting to survive just as much as the protagonist does.

Blot has no dialogue, so a vast majority of the story will be told environmentally, leaving it entirely up to the reader to find out what has happened in this world, and how this mysterious collapse has come to be.

While there will be fighting throughout the story, Blot is not an action comic. Each enemy encounter will be carefully considered by the protagonist. For in a world as dire as Blot's, a wrong choice can prove to be quite deadly.

And thus ends this small glimpse into the world of Blot. Once this graphic novel is finished, It is planned to be available to read on Itch.io and maybe even here on Newgrounds.
